A painter once said, “A great picture captures a moment in time and a place: a moment of light, movement and mood, a reflection of time.” He went on to say that photography was so much easier, for a photographer need only snap the shutter to capture time! Painters can change the mood, move or delete a tree, sky, etc., with the stroke of a brush. A photographer must see this mood and capture it at the right moment when the lighting is just right. There simply is NO second chance. It truly is a moment in time.

Beautiful images hold the key to so many of our deepest emotions. With just a fleeting glance, they can turn our lips to a brilliant smile, shed a tear from our eyes or overwhelm us in awe. As if by magic, they empower us to do what no one else can do - to stop time, even if only for a moment.
